Sheffield Civic Trust organises a range of activies from the design review of current planning submissions to the coordinating of Heritage Open Days in Sheffield.

These activities and many others give the people of Sheffield the chance to have their say on the quality and style of Sheffield’s current and future built environment.

Ticket barriers on the bridge at Midland Station

Sheffield Civic Trust have been active in our opposition to the installation of ticket batrriers and the effective closure of the overbridge at the listed Midland Station. We opposed the Listed Building application for the installation of the barrriers, which we thought would impair the users experience of the open spaces. The overbridge is a crucial link across the Sheaf Valley that connects the neighbourhoods to the city via the new square and the Gold Route.
